Programs

Blue Flag USVI

Blue Flag is an international Eco-Labeling program awarded to over 4500 beaches and marinas in 48 countries throughout the world. Developed in France, Blue Flag is owned and operated by the non-profit Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) in Copenhagen, Denmark in partnership with the United Nations Environment Program and the World Tourism Organization.

Eco-Schools USVI

Eco-Schools is the world’s largest international environmental education program engaging Pre K‐12school students, faculty, administrators and community volunteers in a comprehensive, environment‐based program to improve student environmental literacy and skills. In addition to direct environmental benefits, the program helps to dramatically improve student skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM). It is also a proven framework for promoting youth leadership and community service.

VI Clean Coast

The Virgin Islands Conservation Society in collaboration with the Virgin Islands Department of Planning & Natural Resources Division of Coastal Zone Management launched the “VI Clean Coasts” initiative. This Eco-certification Program is open to any business in the U.S.V.I. The only requirement for the initial certification is the removal of all expanded polystyrene (aka Styrofoam) from the business. From there a custom program will be developed for each business to create their own Eco-journey.
